Britt-Marie Alm, "Valley Lines," 2020
$1,980.00 USD
San Francisco based Britt Marie Alm's handwoven works of art take a unique and abstract look at what landscape artwork - and fiber art - can be.
Britt's unique form of weaving is actually an adapted version of an ancient technique used by nomadic Tibetans. Britt learned this technique, which is used by the nomadic people to make slingshots, during years she spent learning and traveling in Tibet. Scaled up to a much larger format, the weaving technique translates to a striking art form.
Hand-felted New Zealand wool, solid wood dowels.
