Melissa Dickenson

Melissa Dickenson’s works utilize a repetitive process of stretching thin sheets of  plastic film, much in the way canvas is used in traditional painting. The layers of film, sometimes thirty deep, remain pliable as they en mass, yet are rendered strong as the tension of the material grips around wooden stretcher bars. Melissa lives and works in San Francisco, California and is available for studio visits as well as commissions upon request.
